What It Does

This is the ingredient that makes shampoos foam and actually clean your hair. SLES creates that rich lather and removes dirt and oil properly. Already diluted to 28%, so you can use it straight in your formulas.

How Much to Use

Shampoos: 10-15%
Body Wash: 8-12%
Hand Wash: 10-15%
Face Wash: 5-8%

Just mix with water, add your thickener and fragrance. Done.

Real Talk

SLES isn't natural, and some people avoid sulfates. But it's been used safely for years and it works. It's gentler than regular SLS and much cheaper than sulfate-free alternatives.
